FROM HER PERSONAL PASTIMES TO HER PROFESSIONAL ENDEAVORS,
Mary Beth Never Loses Sight of What's Important in Life.

The sunlight is peeking through the trees as Mary Beth Ball begins her “hike,” which is really a leisurely walk from her home to Seahurst Park. In a few minutes, she will be strolling along the beach and enjoying the wonderful view of the Puget Sound and Bainbridge and Vashon islands. For Mary Beth, this is a one-of-a-kind view, and she pauses for a moment to take in a deep breath and soak up everything around her—all the sights and sounds of the Sound.

Going on a day hike or cross-country skiing in the mountains or having the opportunity to work in a community she loves are a few of the reasons why Mary Beth calls Burien home. She has lived in the area for more than 16 years and her connection to the people here grows stronger every year. As fortunate as she feels for living in a city with such a great view of the Sound, Mary Beth does not take it for granted. She knowsthere was a time that she lost her sight and faced the possibility of never being able to see another mountain vista or tree-lined valley or spectacular sunset.

A congenital eye disease caused Mary Beth to go blind at the age of 23. It took double corneal transplant surgery and 15 months for Mary Beth to regain her sight, but her recovery was made possible by her resiliency, perseverance and faith. She came away from the experience with a renewed outlook and a stronger determination to make the most of every moment.

From volunteering to serving as the Chair of the Burien Lions Club Hearing and Vision Services to serving the needs of her clients, Mary Beth looks at each day as an opportunity to make a difference in her community. This was evident when Mary Beth worked with youth and families as a professional counselor in Burien and West Seattle for seven years. And it is still a priority as she pursues a rewarding career in real estate.

The unique perspective Mary Beth has on living in Burien and her knowledge of the local real estate market is what sets her apart as a real estate professional. “The opportunity to live and work in a city that is so special to me is not something I take for granted,” Mary Beth says. When she is working with home buyers and sellers, she’s determined to provide the guidance they need to achieve their goals, and will not rest until she has met—and exceeded—their expectations. When you are in the market to buy or sell a home in Burien or the surrounding areas, turn to the professional who will approach your needs from a fresh perspective. That professional is Mary Beth Ball. She has A New Sound View For Your Success.
